Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly Meme hosted at Pen to Paper
This week I'm wishing for...
Pivot Point by Kasie West
Summary from Amazon:
"Knowing the outcome doesn't always make a choice easier. . . .
In one potential future, Addie is adjusting to life outside the Compound as the new girl in a Norm high school where she meets Trevor, a cute, sensitive artist who understands her. In the other path, Addie is being pursued by the hottest guy in school—but she never wanted to be a quarterback's girlfriend. When Addie's father is asked to consult on a murder in the Compound, she's unwittingly drawn into a dangerous game that threatens everything she holds dear. With love and loss in both lives, it all comes down to which reality she's willing to live through . . . and who she can't live without."
Pivot Point by Kasie West
Summary from Amazon:
"Knowing the outcome doesn't always make a choice easier. . . .
Addison Coleman's life is one big "What if?" As a Searcher, whenever Addie is faced with a choice, she can look into the future and see both outcomes. It's the ultimate insurance plan against disaster. Or so she thought. When Addie's parents ambush her with the news of their divorce, she has to pick who she wants to live with—her father, who is leaving the paranormal compound to live among the "Norms," or her mother, who is staying in the life Addie has always known. Addie loves her life just as it is, so her answer should be easy. One Search six weeks into the future proves it's not.
Why I'm Wishing for It:
This sounds right up my alley. The premise itself is so interesting, and I've not doubt that this book will be amazing if it can pull it off. And it looks like its got almost everything to really get me interested in a book. Set in a dystopian future - check. A bit of the supernatural - check. Love interests - check. Mystery and murder - check. And, I've yet to read a negative review. Fingers crossed that I can get my hands on this beauty soon!

I want that one, too! I love the aspect of the double life thing AND the mystery that seems to be in it. The dystopian element is what holds me back a bit - I'm not too fond of that genre, but I hope you get the book soon :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard a lot of good things about this book. It sounds really interesting! Great pick! I am also a new follower via GFC :)

I literally saw this book yesterday, and like, I put it down. I like the whole aspect of it, but it doesn't seem like me. Great book though.
ReplyDeleteI really want to read this one, too! I'm so glad that my library ordered it! :D

I started this one in an e-ARC, but I wasn't too impressed. I think I need to be in the mood for it, and I just wasn't. It was really stereotypical. I keep hearing it gets better and better with time, though, so I'll give it a try later! Great choice - hope we both end up loving it! :)
