I'm currently reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, and oh my lord it is good. I'm reading it as part of the Off the Shelf Challenge, and I can't believe I left this goody sitting on my shelf for a good 6 months or so. I'm really enjoying that this book is able to surprise me - I find a lot now-a-days that stories can be too predictable for me, but this one definitely isn't.

I've read a couple of predictable ones lately - it's nice to get a good one, glad your enjoying it. Here's my musing:

It is so nice when you find a book that is just so good you sometimes don't want them to end. I'm glad you were so pleasantly surprise. I read a lot of "Mind Candy" books, but I know before I start to read them they will be predictable, but sometimes I just want soft candy, not something to hard to chew on.
